Custom Fabric Panels Reduce Echo in Senior Center Dining and Lobby
A beautiful, new Senior Center in Ludlow, MA was developed and opened in 2021. The center featured state of the art technology and increased access to space and resources for aging adults. However, they noticed an issue with echo and noise in their dinning room and lobby. Looking for a solution, they turned to DDS Acoustical Specialties, where we proposed custom, fabric wrapped panels.

It was determined that one Call Service Area, one Conference Room and the office of the CFO would be treated. These are all areas where speech intelligibility and speech privacy were critical. DDS Acoustical Specialties, LLC is thrilled to announce the addition of Mary Ellen Riemenschneider to its team as Senior Project Engineer. Mary will be working directly with customers, ensuring the proper application of products. She will be interfacing with our material suppliers and other vendors to provide clear, concise explanations of the solutions we propose. Most of all, she will be responsible for the overall customer satisfaction for each project.
Mill at Crane Pond
Recently we successfully tackled these very same issues for The Mill at Crane Pond properties, located in Westfield Massachusetts. The space has been earmarked as an Open Work Collaborative area, with an additional Meeting and Training Room.
ESG Clean Energy LLC – In Progress
In the city of Holyoke, MA there are specific noise stipulation that need to be followed for industrial buildings and equipment. ESG Clean Energy LLC contacted DDS Acoustical Specialties because they were building a new facility and needed to mitigate noise coming from their various generators as well as the ventilation system that will be keeping the units cool.
