Architectural Acoustic Ceiling Baffles

Acoustic Ceiling Baffles reduce reverberation time, lower ambient noise levels, and improve communication in a variety of applications. Baffles are economical alternatives for both large- and small-scale spaces such as gymnasiums, ice arenas, swimming pools, and event spaces of all sorts. In architectural settings they can make a stunning visual statement.

We also offer baffles for industrial settings. Ceiling treatment can accomplish acoustical goals in a discreet, simple manner.

Why are Acoustic Ceiling Baffles Important?

Ceiling sound baffles provide absorption to a space in need of sound clarity and speech intelligibility. Absorption lessens the echo and reverberation within the room it is installed.

Ceiling treatments are a great place to start. Reverberation can often give the impression that there is an obnoxious noise in the background. This is mostly caused by the overall volume in the room; therefore, it can lead to ear fatigue and lower concentration for the listener.

Regardless of the space, adding sound absorption to your room will make a noticeable difference instantly.

Rigid Core Baffles

Rigid core baffles utilize a 6.0 lb./ cu.ft. rigid fiberglass board. Edge details include square, beveled, mitered, or radius. Facing materials are typically a Guilford FR701 Style 2100, a paintable fiberglass facing, or a custom specified fabric chosen by the customer. Similar to a fabric-wrapped fiberglass wall panel, the facing material is adhered to the core and tailored at the corners to provide a clean, neat look. Core density is 6.0 lbs./ cu.ft. standard. Thicknesses available range from 1” to 4”.

Core Materials:

  • 6.0 pcf fiberglass board
